JVC AV 42PD20 PLASMA TV

Though JVC has always had name for best quality, its plasma TV was not much hit as it was not easy for JVC to keep up to the market expectations. With the introduction of AV42PD20, JVC has proved to the world that they can produce best plasma vision Television. The TV comes with a plasma TV of 42 inches with a resolution of 1280×1024 pixels 16:9. With a ratio of 16:9, the display of this version is excellent and JVC has managed to make the TV in just 19.9cm thick which is truly amazing. It has DigiPure Pro picture processing technology which gives it super good picture quality and the brightness as well is unbeatable. The images are delivered with perfection and the picture in picture feature is very useful for many where multiple channels can be viewed at the same time. The TV also supports the contrast ratio of 1500:1 and the brightness of 400cd/m2. Like all other TVs this plasma also supports tuner.

Unlike most of the other plasma, JVC has taken care to concentrate in audio features and has won in doing so. The sound is produced with good effects and the two integrated stereo speakers help in doing it. 3D surround sound system enhances the sound quality and the sub-woofer helps in delivering the minor details as well clearly. The total power delivered by the audio devices is 70 watts. Sub-woofer alone gives off 40 watts whereas the speakers manage 30 watts.

Important feature the TV holds is that it has parental control facility which allows the parent to have control on what are the channels, children can see. The other features include sleep timer, Tele text features with a Tele text memory of 720 pages, 100 channels, TV link, auto panoramic mode, digital comb filter, double filtering system, Nicam stereo, digital noise reduction, auto tuning, fan less operation, and a lot more. Some of the input connectors are stereo input connector, composite video input connector, S-video input, headphone jack, VGA PC input and output connectors include SCART. The remote that comes along with it is an infrared one which supports VCR and DVD player.

The inner working and outer styling of this JVC PD-42V475 Plasma TV have outsmarted its predecessor. One new addition is JVC’s HD Range DSD (Digital Super Detail) High End Edge Correction Circuitry. The picture qualities on the JVC PD-42V475 have been perfectly tweaked to give the best first impression possible. The display is bright with intense color combination. As for as the audio is concerned, though not commendable, provides a decent audio system. The black levels on the Plasma are more than adequate, enhanced, and clearly provide extra brightness and sharper picture. It has a very high contrast ratio, and had almost a still 3D illusion effect to whatever it displayed.

Though it had good picture quality, green levels on the Plasma were a bit oversaturated. This was clearly noticeable when the display was compared to other Brand of Plasma, other ways no concern what’s so ever. The JVC have produced a good edge enhancement feature, The NATURAL CINEMA mode corrects blurred edges by compensating for errors that occur in the film that are shot at 24 frames per second. The JVC build in Sound System is quite impressive though not as commanding as one would expect it to be. The JVC Plasma Product operates fine, with heavy weighted points on picture quality and a bit towards sound system.
